Atlatech (Pty) Ltd was registered under the Companies Act 1963 on the 18th April 1978 and commenced operations 1st May 1978. In 1989 the company was split into its component parts i.e. Atlatech Divers & Salvors c.c. and Atlatech Marine c.c. While the group was originally formed to carry out diving work it soon settled down to a “Services to Shipping” company, providing:
Diving services to inspect vessels underwater, change cathodic protection, blank off sea valves, stern seals, surveys and inspections and diving services as part of the salvage of vessels aground, sunken and damaged. Pollution prevention and abatement services are offered. Pumping of cargoes, slops and sludge. Atlatech Divers & Salvors hold accreditation certificates from the principal classification societies.
Marine Services to attend vessels when dry-docked to clean, high-pressure wash, abrasive blast and paint. Pumping of cargoes, slops and sludge. Cleaning of tanks (cargo and fuel) for gas free, hot work, inspection. We have a range of modern equipment such as vacuum blasting, ultra high (2400 bar) pressure water blasting, conventional blasting, airless spray and other equipment. The Marine Services group is well placed to carry out any requirements clients may request.
When the personnel and equipment of the two service companies are combined, a highly effective, cohesive, 24-hour emergency team is available to the Salvage, Marine, Fishing and Offshore Resources Industries. On occasion these services are also combined to clean up fire and flood damage and co-ordinate logistics and engineering services.
